C astleneuk Guest House is located 12 miles north west of Durham City on the A68 main trunk road in the small village of Castleside, near Consett.
We are ideally situated either for a comfortable overnight break while travelling between Edinburgh and York or as a base to visit many of the local attractions and places of interest in Co Durham and Northumberland.
Jan's extensive knowledge of the area and local history can help in planning a memorable visit.

G uests can arrive by 1400 and are requested to vacate their rooms by 1000.
A full English breakfast is served from 0830 till 0930. A fresh home cooked evening meal can be provided by prior arrangement. Any reasonable request will be given consideration. Please discus any requirements you may have with Jan.
You can park off road at the rear of the house but at your own risk.
A deposit is required when booking and payment is by cash/cheque only.

G overnment policy forbids smoking anywhere in guest areas of the house.
An automatic fire alarm system is fitted through out the house for your protection.
A front door key is provided so guests can return when they wish.
